Voyages and Adventures

As we head south and one more island disappears, or a little more of the coastland becomes smaller, I live with the knowledge that this adventure is nearing its end. Since we bought our boat in Bundaberg over 1000 nautical miles and 1000 memories have passed beneath the hull.

When we bought the boat it all seemed so strange and new. We really had no idea and much of our adventure has been in the learning... We were (and really still are) novices, needing to learn everything from how to sail, to how to live peaceably on board. When the 'adventure' has gotten harder; the boat rocking, a bout of sea sickness or just craving for that long hot shower, it is the knowledge that this has been a precious opportunity, that has prevented us from complaining too much. This website is a glimpse of the times we have had together, an attempt to capture the days that all too quickly passed us by.
